Playa Bowls is a vegetarian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1707 Smallman St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, which places it among the local businesses of Pittsburgh that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 8 AMβ8 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Absolutely. This version sounds pissed off, but controlledβwhich usually makes a bad review hit harder. Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable. I drove all the way from Indiana Township/Cheswick into Pittsburgh specifically to visit Playa Bowls on Smallman Street. I already avoid driving into this part of Pittsburgh whenever possible because of the traffic, crowds, difficulty finding parking, and the added cost of paying to park. However, we specifically wanted Playa Bowls, so I made the trip. After driving all the way into the city, finding parking, and paying for it, we walked over to discover that Playa Bowls was CLOSED. Apparently there was some type of farmers market or event taking place, and three employees were sitting directly outside the closed store. What makes this completely unacceptable is that there was absolutely no indication online that the location would be closed. Nothing on Google and nothing on the website. The posted business hours gave customers every reason to believe the store was open. If you're going to close a business during your regularly posted hours, updating your Google listing or website is the absolute minimum you should do for

I visited Playa Bowls Strip District, located at 1707 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, with a guest and had a very good first experience. This new location is a great spot for anyone looking for a healthier snack option instead of a late-night sugary snack. Our order included: Mango Power β Mango Bowl:$14.00 Mango Berry β Mango Bowl: $14.00 Tree Nut Allergy note:$0.00 Extra Pineapple:$1.00 Subtotal: $29.00 Taxes: $2.03 Total: $31.03 The bowls were filling in the best way. They had real fruit, granola, nuts, protein options, bee pollen, different milk blends, and plenty of add-ons. While there is still sweetness in the bowls, the main ingredients felt much better than choosing a heavy dessert or candy-type snack. The employees were friendly and helpful. They provided details about the bowl options, and when I later asked about adding bee pollen, they added it after I realized from the paper menu that additional add-ons were available. The location offers both dine-in and takeout, and the atmosphere was clean, bright, and welcoming. Parking is available in the front and rear, but be warned: parking enforcement was active on Smallman Street, and I noticed several vehicles w

The perfect Strip District stroll always includes a stop at Playa Bowls! Loved grabbing an açaà bowl to fuel the walk. They have a massive menu. The vibe is super fun with a cool local wave mural and their beachside story on the wall. Our whole group's order was fresh, fast, and hit the spot. Excellent good food with organic and gluten free options. An absolute must-visit when you're exploring the neighborhood!

This place gets 5/5 for multiple reasons. First, they are delicious and very reasonably priced. Second, they are so kind and accommodating. In my order notes I made a comment about how rough of a day Iβve had and that I would love extra coco whip as itβs my favorite. They delivered in the sweetest way! I love coming here.

The bowls are good but they consistently below the advertised portion levels. Itβs like theyβre trying to put as little as possible while still charging the same price. This happens every time I visit this location - FILL UP THE BOWL!!! I never ever have this issue at any other Playa Bowls location
